Fatemiyon is the Afghani division of Revolutionary Guards’ Quds Force fighting in Syria. It’s made up of Afghan Shiites, mostly poor Afghan refugees from Iran. Fatemiyon has a few thousand members, more than 200 of whom have been killed in battle since 2013. Fatemiyon is a more advanced version of Abouzar Brigade, the Afghani unit that fought for Iranian regime in Iran-Iraq war.
