The World is Watching President Obama
Jul 8th, 2009As an Iranian-American, I voted for President Barack Obama because I believed he is a real pro-human rights person and then a politician. I can’t understand why he is so slow in responding to what is going on in Iran. Can’t he see a brutal regime is killing its own people? What is he waiting for? More killing? Or a genocide?
Take the action now! For God’s sake, we are the leaders of free world! How could we possibly even think about sitting around a table and negotiating with the members of this regime? Mr. Obama doesn’t want to do that, because he will lose the respect of millions and millions of people around the world who have faith in him.
President Obama should forget politics and forget his advisers, take action and send a strong message to the desperate people of Iran who fight against machine guns with their bare hands.
Push for more immediate sanctions against the mullahs’ regime. Ask the free world to not accept the regime’s delegates in their countries. Take this case to the United Nations and get a resolution about Ali Khamenei as a criminal and the mullahs’ regime. The world is watching him.

Very well said! I totally agree with the writer’s opinion. President Obama doesn’t even need to start a war with Iran. All he has to do, is recognize the rights of Iranian people of self defense, against a brutal regime, that has been condemned more than 54 times, in the U.N. for human rights violations.
So, how many more lives have to be lost, before the U.S. government wakes up. President Obama, and his administration, in a way apologized for what the U.S. government did back in 1953, toppling the nationalist leader of Iran, Dr. Mossadeq, with the help of the CIA. Please don’t make a mistake of siding with a brutal govenment like that of Ali Khamenei, and Ahmadinejad. For once, be on the side of the Iranian people!
